Configuring Message Box Viewer

Microsoft Message Box Viewer is not distributed along with BizTalk 360. In order to make it work, the administrator need to do the following one time activities.

Step 1:

Download message box viewer from the following location http://blogs.technet.com/b/jpierauc/archive/2007/12/18/msgboxviewer.aspx.


Step 2:

Extract the message box viewer to your preferred location. Open a admin command prompt, navigate to the location where you extracted message box viewer and execute MBVConsole.exe. You'll be presented with an end user license agreement (EULA). Click OK to confirm


Step 3:

Right-Click on MsgBoxViewer.exe and select "Run  as Adminstrator". (If you are presented with license agreement (EULA), Select the "Accept" check box and click OK). Close the application and make sure MBVSettings.xml file is generated.


Step 4:

Navigate to BizTalk360 web url (ex: http://localhost/BizTalk360). Click on the "Setting" link in the top righ hand corner. Under "Message Box Viewer", select "Configure Message Box Viewer". Enter the location where you have extracted Message box viewer (Ex: C:\Download\MsgBoxViewer11). Select the environment,  choose the appropriate schedule and click Save.
